Geraldine Mae McDonnough

	Geraldine Mae McDonnough, age 84, of Washington, Ill., formerly of Pinckneyville, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 8:50 a.m. in the Washington Christian Village in Washington.
	Geraldine was born in Pinckneyville on July 26, 1918, a daughter of Ferdinand and Estella Mae (Mandy) Thornton.  She married Milton C. McDonnough on July 27, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1960.
	During her lifetime she was a homemaker, a Nurses Aide at Elgin State Hospital, a member of the Pinckneyville Eastern Star for more than 50 years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Canton.
	Survivors include a son, Melvin Herschel McDonnough and his wife, Beverly, of Creve Coeur; a brother, Ardell Thornton of Herrin; two sisters, Elsie Blair and Augusta Thomas, both of Pinckneyville; a half-sister, Deanna Anderson of Washington; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
	Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son in infancy; a daughter in infancy; a daughter, Carolyn Marinich; a brother, Herschel and two sisters, Edna Harriss and Mabel Livingston.
	Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville with Bro. Mark Lee officiating.  Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
